ABOUT THE WELCOME CENTRE
Mission
Welcome Center is a support point for international students, staff and guests of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce. We are the first point of contact for those who are planning their arrival as well as for those who are already at the University. We answer questions, provide practical guidance and help prepare for a visit to Kielce, regardless of whether the stay is short or long, and above all we offer support on site.
Role
Welcome Center supports international visitors at every stage of their contact with the University. We assist with preparations before arrival, and once they are here we help with matters that appear on site, from academic and administrative formalities, to guidance about the city, to support in everyday situations such as transportation, accommodation or finding essential places and services.
We are a place where anyone can come with any question or concern at any stage of their stay.
Who we support
We support international full-degree students, university staff and guests visiting Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce for both short and long stays. Our services are intended for individuals who engage with the University for various purposes, including academic work, teaching, study visits or international cooperation.
Students participating in exchange programmes such as Erasmus are assisted by a dedicated office that specialises in their needs.

Hi, I’m Iga! 👋🏼
Every day I support new students and international staff as they settle into our university and the city. I enjoy helping people find their way in a new place, answering questions, easing doubts and accompanying them through their first steps in a new environment.
I’m a graduate of Applied Linguistics, so working with foreign languages brings me a lot of joy and fits naturally into what I do at the Welcome Centre.
After hours, you can usually find me somewhere outdoors: relaxing in a hammock between the trees or on the grass, throwing a frisbee with friends. I value calm, movement and anything that lets me catch some fresh air and good energy.
Hi there, I’m Aga! At the Welcome Centre, I create social media content and support international guests, staff and students. What I enjoy most is meeting people from all over the world and discovering their cultures – that’s the biggest value of this job for me! 🌎
I’m a graduate of Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce, where I completed my English Philology degree 🇬🇧 Before joining the Welcome Centre, I taught English in a language school, working with both children and teenagers, and I still give private lessons.
I’m a very open and easygoing person, always with positive energy. Apparently, you really have to try hard not to get along with me 🤭 I love animals, live cruelty free and I’m vegetarian 🐶🌱 In the future, I dream of having a job where I can truly help animals. And my heart is especially attached to Misia – my beloved dog, whom you’ll meet in the next post 🥰
After work, I love to unwind with a book in the garden 🌿, dance 💃, sing 🎶 (no talent, but lots of heart 🤣), do puzzles 🧩 and soak up every bit of sunshine ☀️ Summer could last all year for me!
My biggest dream? One day, to live in New York City 🗽
Hi, I’m Misia 🐶 the Chief Happiness Officer at the Welcome Centre! I’m a cheerful, well-behaved and incredibly affectionate dog who loves people and always greets everyone with pure joy 🎉 My job is to keep the atmosphere warm and welcoming and to melt the hearts of everyone who walks in. I take it very seriously!
I’m calm and gentle, although I’m not a big fan of other dogs 🐶❌ because I’m very attached to my mum and a bit jealous of her attention 😏 Besides sleeping 💤 and eating 🤤 my favorite thing in the world is getting pets and cuddles.
I’m also a vegetarian pup 🥕 (don’t worry, my mum hasn’t gone crazy, she just says I’m allergic to meat and it makes me itchy ☹️) but I love my veggie snacks, and she always keeps some for me at the office!
I do my best to bring warmth and a homey vibe to the Welcome Centre, so everyone feels truly welcome 😊
PS. Most of the time you’ll find me peacefully snoring under my mum’s desk 💤🤭
