Staff Development · April–May 2026
Building an international university starts with people.
In April and May, Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce organised a series of training sessions to help administrative staff and academic teachers develop the skills needed for effective communication and cooperation across cultures.
The programme included two separate training strands, each tailored to the responsibilities and everyday challenges of a different group of university staff.
01 / Administrative staff
Confidence in Working with International Students and Staff
17 and 20 April 2026
On Friday, 17 April, and Monday, 20 April, administrative staff took part in training focused on developing confidence in everyday interactions with international students and colleagues.
The sessions explored intercultural competence, effective communication across cultures, conflict resolution and responding to the needs of international students. Participants also had the opportunity to exchange experiences and identify good practices that could be applied in their daily work.

02 / Academic teachers
Working Effectively in International Research Teams
24 April and 6 May 2026
On 24 April and 6 May, academic teachers participated in a separate training strand dedicated to collaboration in international research teams.
The sessions addressed different communication styles, team dynamics and the organisation of international meetings. Participants also discussed conflict resolution and challenges that can arise when carrying out research projects with partners from different countries.
The workshops combined practical insights with discussion and the exchange of experiences, encouraging participants to reflect on how to build effective working relationships across cultural and professional backgrounds.

Both training strands were led by Kamila Ludwikowska and Aleksandra Jaskólska from Cross Cultural Intelligence, who visited Kielce to share their knowledge and practical experience.
Although the sessions addressed different professional contexts, they shared a common goal: strengthening intercultural awareness and supporting effective cooperation throughout the university community.
